Dear Parents, Remember that tomorrow will be our first virtual Friday. Students will need to log in to their A day classes and complete any assignments. Teachers will not host live meetings but they will be available for assistance if needed. Students must log in and compete assignments to be counted as present. One of the assignments tomorrow will be an assessment PVMS is participating in a statewide needs assessment survey. The Arkansas Prevention Needs Assessment Student Survey, is sponsored by the Arkansas Department of Human Services. The results will be used to help plan substance abuse prevention strategies and programs in our community. Some important facts about the survey: 1 It is anonymous. Students will not put their names on the survey. No one will be able to connect any individual student with his or her responses. School staff will not see any student responses. 2 Participation in the survey is voluntary. Your son/daughter may decline to participate at any time or skip any question they do not wish to answer. The link to the survey will be posted on your child’s first period Schoology page and will cover questions about alcohol, drugs, tobacco, and family and community factors related to substance use and abuse. Thank you and have good evening!
Parents - we ask that you please notify the school 447-8500 or email our Nurse email@example.com if your child has been placed on quarantine or isolation. We need BOTH in-person AND virtual students to report this information. Please check your email for information regarding the 2021 soccer tryouts. The soccer team will be co-ed for 7th/8th graders. Unfortunately, we will not have a 6th grade soccer team this school year.

Good evening Skyhawks! We hope your break has been safe and well spent. Please remember to have your student(s) charge their Chromebooks or personal devices tonight if they have not done so. Unfortunately we do not have any spare chargers left to loan out, so it is imperative that students have charged devices and their issued chargers with them tomorrow. Also, parents please remind our students that school issued chromebooks are for school use only and should not be used for gaming, social media, watching movies, or texting. Doing so is a violation of the usage agreement and can cause Chromebook privileges to be revoked. We look forward to seeing all of our students tomorrow and starting our spring semester!
It’s Pie time! Head over to Facebook to watch Ms. Stone get pie’d! Her students did so awesome this nine weeks, so she agreed to do this for them!

Attention Parents/Guardians: As a follow-up to our earlier message, LRSD had two technical issues that impacted access/use of the tools used by the District for virtual learning. Yesterday, as we were downloading student information to eSchool, a file became corrupted, which prevented students/staff from using Google as a part of the Schoology platform. That problem was addressed and corrected late last night. Today, a different issue occurred as LRSD was attempting to provide greater access to YouTube videos for our teaching staff to use through Schoology. As the work was being done, our firewall was disabled and that caused the system to shut down. By 1 p.m. today, that issue had been corrected. We sincerely regret the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
There are still technical issues with some of the students accounts. The district is aware of the issue and is working to resolve the issue. The teachers are aware and your student will not be penalized for missing assignments during this downtime
Skyhawk Families, We are experiencing technical difficulties with ClassLink and Google Drive. Your student may not be able to log on at this time. We will notify you when this situation is resolved. We truly apologize for the inconvenience.
Good Morning Skyhawk Families, Due to the threat of severe weather, students will have early dismissal at 2:30 today. Please check the LRSD webpage for more information.

Good Afternoon Skyhawk Parents! We want to bring some clarity to the survey that was sent out by the Little Rock School District yesterday afternoon. We want to make sure you understand that this is ONLY A SURVEY. It is NOT a commitment for how your child will receive instruction for the 2020-2021 school year. Things can change for your family as we get closer to school starting, if needed. The student ID number you provide simply allows the district to ensure that responses are connected to the correct assigned school. These survey results will be given to principals when we return on July 8th, so we can have an idea of the anticipated needs of our specific school, either virtually or physically. We cannot wait in this planning process as the results of the survey will help us to formulate a more detailed plan. This is a very fluid process right now. As more details are finalized in the coming weeks, Pinnacle View administration is committed to working diligently to ensure that we create the safest possible learning and working environment for our students and staff. We also hope to improve upon the virtual educational experience for our community. https://tinyurl.com/LRSDReturntoSchool

National History Day News! Congratulations to Thomas Foster and Cameron Hastings for winning Second in National History Day in the category below! Junior Division Group Website 2nd place: Cameron Hastings and Thomas Foster, "Temple Grandin: Trailblazing Pioneer on the Stairway to Heaven" Cameron and Thomas had to advance out of the competition at PVMS where they competed against all 3 grades. Then, they had to advance out of the regional competition at UALR where they competed with many other projects from the region. They went on to the State Finals, held at UCA, where they won second place which now allows them to compete in the National competition. This is a first for PVMS, and we are very proud of these young men! We can’t wait to hear how they perform against projects and students from across all 50 states. Great work!!
We still have 500 Books still needing to be brought back! Official school letters will be sent home next week for books that need returned. 1. Current lists are posted inside the Edmentum APP (look for the email/message icon) and in the library Google Classroom (Code 3lacdxr.) 2. Please check the list to see if your child’s appears. If so, they have book(s) that need returned. 3. Students can check their emails for the title of books still missing (Student Email APP inside of ClassLink.) 4. The book drop is in the back of the building near where the buses drop off and students have recess along the blue wall. Look for a light tan book drop near the doors by the grand staircase.
