This month’s "Staff Spotlight" is Mrs. Paula Akee!!!!!! Mrs. Akee serves our students with some of the greatest physical, emotional, and intellectual needs, but you would never know it by the way she talks about her students. Mrs. Akee has high expectations and treats each one of her students and families with respect. If you have ever interacted with her, you know she is a ball of joy and brings happiness and sunshine to any room. We are not the only ones that realize how awesome Mrs. Akee is; the LRSD Special Education Department also recognizes her greatness because she was asked, and has accepted the responsibility, to teach virtual students all over the district this year. In addition to teaching students from other schools, several staff members across the district have come to visit Mrs. Akee's class to learn and grow better in their teaching practice. It is for these reasons, and so many more, that Mrs. Paula Akee is our "Staff Spotlight" for the month of November. Please help me congratulate her on a job well done!
